10- GLEN JOHNSON
(PORTSMOUTH TO LIVERPOOL- 17 mp)
Declared as the best rightback in the epl by the PFA last year Glen was a wanted man this summer. With Chelsea,Mancity and liverpool all wanting the English international. He chose Liverpool over Chelsea in the end quite simply because he didnt want to go back to the stamford bridge. He is a top signing because of the attacking pedigree he will bring to liverpool. And as portsmouth owed liverpool some 8mp so technically he is just a 9mp buy.
9- GARETH BARRY
(ASTON VILLA TO MANCITY- 12MP)
Now a regular English international Gareth barry is exactly what city needed. He brings experience and energy in the centre of that midfield for city. Being left footed he also brings a different dimension to city. He can do most things what you would expect from a midfielder and at 12 mp he is the only bargain that city have got this year.
8- YOAN GOURCUFF
(A.C MILAN TO BORDEAUX- 13 mp)
I was surprised that milan let yoan go to bordeaux this year. He had a great loan spell there and i thought they will take him back to milan and after the departure of kaka he will be given proper chances but new gaffa Leanardo did a bad bit of business to let him go. As for Laurent Blanc and Bordeaux its a top player at not that big a price.
7- RICARDO KAKA
(A.C MILAN TO REAL MADRID- 58 mp)
Only two words describe Kaka “WORLD CLASS”. A former fifa world player of the year and also a winner of Ballon d’or kaka is going to bring a unique dimension to the way madrid play. He won the champions league for milan on his own literally and he can do the same with madrid. The only reason why he is at 7 is because of the money which is a little over the odds for me.
6- WESLEY SNEIJDER
(REAL MADRID TO INTER- 13 mp)
Wesley sneijder is a one of the many coups that jose mourinho has launched this summer. He is a wonderful talent and whenever given the oppurtunity he proved his worth for madrid. He is now at the right club and under a ’special’ manager. Number six for me.
5- ARJEN ROBBEN
(REAL MADRID TO BAYERN MUNICH- 22 mp)
At 25 million euros he may sound a little expensive but to be honest he is not. This guy has the ability to win matches on his own. Has a gifted left foot and has got the pace to burn. He alongside ribery is going to provide many nightmares to many defences both in bundesliga and in europe.
4- DIEGO
(WERDER BREMEN TO JUVENTUS- 23 mp)
This guy oozes class. A top midfielder in the bundesliga for the last 2-3 seasons has now found the right club for him. Juventus on the other hand have in him one of the most gifted attacking midfielders on planet. At 23 mp he is less than half of what kaka costs and for me in quality he is not that far off. Any way you look at it its a great buy.
3- XABI ALONSO
(LIVERPOOL TO REALMADRID- 31 mp)
Xabi had the greatest season of his career last year at a personal level. The man sees a pass as if he is having an aerial view of the pitch in his mind. When he arrived at liverpool 5 years back Benitez said this boy can pick out a pass. And five years later he will do exactly that at Real madrid. He is a unique midfielder and his passing range can take Madrid to anywhere they want.
2- CRISTIANO RONALDO
(MANCHESTER UNITED TO REALMADRID- 80 mp)
Manchester united’s ultimate legend Sir Bobby Charlton described the 80 mp fee of Ronaldo as “VULGAR”. In my opinion Sir Bobby may be right but if cristiano were too leave Old trafford it was to be at a ‘Vulgar’ price. Quite simply because there aren’t any Ronaldo’s around. He is amongst the top 5 players in the world with ease. Love him or hate him he is one of the very best the world has ever seen.
1- SAMUEL ETO’O
(BARCELONA TO INTERMILAN- Less than free)
There is no one reason to why Jose Mourinho is called ‘The Special One’. But if you are finding one then check this swap deal out. Eto’o scored 36 goals in a treble winning barca side last year and yet Mourinho bought him by giving Barca Zlatan and gained 40mp. That in every aspect is a very very SPECIAL deal. Eto’o is a proven goalscorer with 130 goals in just 200 appearences for Barca. If he does anything like that at inter Jose and his men can win a lot of trophies.

Of all the transfers, the only one who has started proving his worth is Glen Johnson! He is playing a very very improved game at Liverpool! No doubt Ibrahimovic is world class striker but still Barcelona will miss the presence of goal scoring machine Samuel Eto’o Because surely Ibra will take time to settle in Barca. Real Madrid again crazy in sighning players, Kaka, Ronaldo, Alonso, Benzema will totally change their style of play!
aneeq i wonder why you havent noticed the likes of robben and diego and sneijder. They were outstanding for their clubs at the weekend….and i believe with time all these guys are going to be massive hits….
i wonder why kaka is on no.7 but apart from that the list is good.
The Eto Ibra swap deal is the best bargain possible.
kaka is at number 7 for me because of the money. He is a great player surely but is he worth twice than alonso and more than twice of diego??? i dont think so…
